Description

The Diocese of San Bernardino acquired thirty acres of land though a generous donation from Service Corporation International (SCI) in the beautiful hills of Colton in 2005. The land was consecrated by Most Rev. Gerald R. Barnes as Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery on May 5, 2005. Construction began and the first interment took place in July of 2006. The All Souls Chapel and Mausoleum was dedicated in February of 2007. The initial phase of the development is complete with sections named for Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Joseph, and The Holy Family. Construction continues with a new section named for St. Francis of Assisi. Our Lady Queen of Peace offers a full spectrum of burial options including ground burial, double-depth lawn crypts, above-ground crypts and cremation niches in the All Souls Chapel and Mausoleum, and ground burial for cremated remains. The cemetery also offers private estates, bench estates, and custom-built private mausoleums. This cemetery has about 80,000 burials as of November 2019.
